Documents
What to bring with you
This is a domestic service within Kenya, so no passport or visa is needed for the flight itself. You will still need to identify yourself at the airport.
If you are continuing beyond Mandera, check the entry requirements for your onward destination with the relevant authority before you travel.
Photo identification
Bring a national ID, passport or other photo identification. The name must match the booking.
Your booking reference
Have your confirmation details to hand. They make check-in quicker and resolve any query at the desk.
Documents for children
Infants and children travel on the accompanying adult’s documents. Bring proof of the relationship if asked.
Baggage within allowance
15kg checked and 5kg cabin are included. Weigh anything doubtful at home.
At the airport
Before you fly
RubyAir departs from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi and from Mandera Airport (NDE) in Mandera.
Check in with time to spare
Domestic departures close before the scheduled time. Allow for the walk to the gate and the security check, and arrive early during peak periods.
Bring valid identification
Every passenger needs photo identification that matches the name on the booking. Infants travel on the accompanying adult’s documents.
Pack to your allowance
15kg of checked baggage and 5kg of cabin baggage are included with every ticket. Arrange anything extra at the check-in desk.
Keep your reference handy
Your booking reference plus the lead passenger’s last name is all you need to review a trip or print boarding details.
